Step 1 - ask all the questions (and never apologise)

There are no stupid questions. And you should never apologise for asking them. Routes, timing, music, food, swimming, vibe - all of these details shape your experience.

A good charter company will welcome questions and guide you honestly, not rush you into a decision. If you’re ever made to feel uncomfortable for asking questions, that’s your sign to pause.

Step 2 - share what’s important to your group

This step shapes everything - the boat, the route and the experience. Be clear about what really matters to your group, for example:

If DJ decks are important - tell us upfront. Some routes allow long, relaxed anchor time (perfect for decks), while others mean you’ll only get a very short window to play. If decks matter, we’ll recommend the boats, routes and timings that make sense for a proper deck-led experience.

If pizza delivery later in the day is important - routing matters. We’ll plan your day so you’re anchored in the right place at the right time, making delivery smooth and stress-free.

If lunch is a priority - whether it’s a beach club or onboard catering, lunch affects: departure marina, cruising direction, timing of swims and stops.

We’ll design the route so getting on and off the boat feels effortless. The more you share, the less compromise there is.

Step 3 - be honest about your group and budget

Every group is different - chilled friends, celebrations, first-timers, music lovers. Tell us:
-group size
-celebration (if any)
-energy level you’re looking for
-your realistic budget comfort zone
This allows us to recommend the right boat, not the most expensive one.

Step 4 - understand Ibiza’s two main marinas

Ibiza has two main departure areas, each offering a different experience:

1 - San Antonio (west coast) – sunset side, dramatic coastline, iconic golden-hour finishes on the water
2 - Ibiza Town (east coast) – closer to Formentera and its turquoise waters

You can reach Formentera from San Antonio too - this creates a longer, more scenic “full magic” experience that combines the west coast with a Formentera lunch stop.

Knowing the experience you'll get from each marina, helps set expectations for the day.

Step 5 - understand the real value of a boat day

When you break it down per person, a private boat day often costs less than clubs, day beds or big nights out - while offering:

-your own private space
-multiple coves and swim stops
-local captain expertise
-a shared experience you’ll remember long after Ibiza

It’s not about status - it’s about experience and connection.

Step 6 - lastly and most importantly, talk to Emily.

Emily has been curating exceptional boat charter experiences in Ibiza for years. She knows the boats, the captains, the routes, the marinas - and just as importantly, she knows what works and what doesn’t.

She’ll always give you honest, unbiased advice, based on real experience - not what’s easiest to sell. If something isn’t right for your group, she’ll tell you. If there’s a better option, she’ll suggest it.

That honesty is what turns a good boat day into exactly the day you hoped for.
